HYPER THREADS 2013; 23 Aug - 01 Sept, Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Group (CODE) Workshop, Mexico

The ZHA | CODE Workshop is a platform that promotes collaboration among professionals, researchers and architectural academics interested in the use of contemporary techniques and design methods to solve local problems; combining these methods with traditional knowledge and techniques gained through centuries of practice.

Applying computer-aided design (CAD) as a tool that promotes architectural creativity and at the same time responds to the spatial and material complexities of our era.

ZHA | CODE, Autodesk Inc and Comex, in collaboration with the Department of Architecture at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Santa Fe Campus, hosts nine day workshop and a conference day in Mexico.

The Workshop explores the relationships between contemporary digital technologies, design techniques, creative expression and its possible manifestations in the context of Mexico; an emerging economy with a wealth of construction techniques. The workshop seeks to unite established production methods and software platforms with emerging technologies and local traditions.
