Dimitris Kolonis Associate TEE, RIBA
Dimitris joined ZHA in 2012 and has 20 years’ experience. He has developed a variety of major mixed-use and commercial projects with the practice. Prior to ZHA, Dimitris has worked for practices in Greece and New York and run his own architectural and construction firm in Athens for over a decade.
Education and Teaching
Dimitris received his degree in architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 1997. In 2000 he gained his master’s degree in architecture from the Pratt Institute in New York. Currently Dimitris is studying for an MBA in real estate and construction management with the University College of Estate Management, London, due 2019. He has lectured in Rhodes and Athens and has been registered as an architect in Greece since 1997 and in the UK since 2012.
Dimitris is currently working on the development of 219,000m2 headquarter tower in China. Among other projects, he has worked on the 131,000m2 Sberbank Technopark in Moscow and the 84,000m2 Opus mixed-use tower development in Dubai. Dimitris was recently lead project architect for the Eleftheria Square urban redevelopment scheme in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he was involved throughout the design and construction supervision stages.
