Margarita Valova Associate MArch, ARB
Margarita joined us in 2006. Since then, she has been involved in a wide range of projects, from residential and office schemes to exhibitions in Sofia, New York, Madrid and the studio’s celebrated commissions for the Venice Biennale. She has also worked on the Roca London Gallery, a fluid and highly versatile sequence of exhibition spaces completed in 2011. Most recently, she led a team developing a highly acclaimed installation for the Hong Kong Art Fair and she is currently working on a substantial private home in Morocco.
She completed a Masters in Architecture at the Architectural Association in 2006. Prior to this, she was awarded a Masters in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
She taught at the Architectural Association as part of the ‘Digital Tools’ Design Research Laboratory in 2005/2006.
Her work has featured in ‘Emerging Talents, Emerging Technologies’, a catalogue edited by Neil Leach and Xu Wei-Guo for the China Architectural Biennial in Beijing (2006); ‘Associative Practices in the Management of Complexity’ by Tom Verebes (2006); AD’s ‘Architextiles’ vol. 76 (2006); and ‘Script: Spot on Schools’, edited by Paola Giaconia and published in Italy (2005).
