Mouzhan Majidi Chief Executive RIBA, RIAS, ARB, AHKIA, AIA
Mouzhan joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2015 following a distinguished 27-year career with Foster + Partners.
Studying architecture at Strathclyde University, Mouzhan graduated in 1987 with first-class honours, receiving numerous awards including the RIBA Part 1 Design Award and the RIBA Silver Medal for the best national diploma project.
On graduation, Mouzhan joined Foster + Partners holding a number of senior roles within the practice, culminating with his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in May 2007 after his leadership of the management buyout funded by 3i. As CEO, he led the company through a period of outstanding global growth. Maintaining an active role as a member of Foster + Partners’ Design Board, Mouzhan combined close day-to-day involvement in design with his primary responsibilities for the strategic direction of the 1,200-strong global practice. His key projects include Stansted Airport (UK), Hong Kong International Airport, Capital Airport (Beijing) and Wembley National Stadium in London.
Recognised as an outstanding designer and architect, Mouzhan has overseen a diverse range of acclaimed cultural, commercial, educational, infrastructure, leisure, residential and transport projects worldwide.
