Zaha Hadid Design exhibits at the International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong

Zaha Hadid Design will be exhibiting recent collections at the inaugural International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong (IDFFHK), in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, 21-23 August.

Established by architects in Hong Kong to make great design more accessible and to develop the city’s design talent, the IDFFHK encourages all exhibitors to design their galleries in a way that best reflects their ethos and history.

Hadid’s ongoing experimentation and research into materials and techniques is evident in the pieces showcased in Hong Kong. “These collaborations are experimental, quicker to execute than the architecture projects and inspire creativity – giving us an opportunity to express ideas in a different scale and through different media, explains Zaha Hadid. “There is a strong reciprocal relationship whereby more the avant-garde designs encourage the development of new digital technologies and fabrication techniques – and those new developments in turn inspire Zaha Hadid Architects to push the design envelope ever further.”

The Zaha Hadid Collection for the home will be showcased with the Tau Vases, Quad & Luna Tables for Citco, the new Liquid Galcial Collection for David Gill Galleries, Crystal Architecture Vases for Lalique, Zephyr Sofa and Seoul Desk together with further Zaha Hadid Design collaborations including those with Alessi, Slamp and United Nude.

The IDFFHK preview exhibition and reception 21 August, and the fair will open to the public on 22 & 23 August.
