Duna and Eve hand-blown glass chandeliers for Lasvit

Inspired by dune formations, Duna is an asymmetrical pendant composed by pairing intersecting glass forms; their striated surface generating many varied reflections and refractions. Light is precisely focussed through Duna’s central element and refracted to its perimeter, highlighting the fluid geometries crafted in hand-blown glass.

Composed of fifteen glass pieces arranged in a single ensemble, Eve combines traditional glassmaking techniques with parametric design within a composition that accentuates the clear and opaque elements of the chandelier. Suspended at varying heights, the glass bodies create an impressive play of light and shadow; their sculptural forms, notable in daylight, generate very different, contrasting qualities in the evening when illuminated.

Duna and Eve combine the precision and mastery of Lasvit’s Bohemian glassmakers with innovative new technologies.
