Fendi's renowned Peekaboo Project exhibited at Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Beijing until June 30

Raising funds for local charity organisations including the China Youth Development Foundation, Community Roots China and UNICEF, the Peekaboo Project asks celebrated local artists and personalities to reinterpret one of Fendi's most acclaimed bags, the Peekaboo.

The Beijing exhibition also includes the 2014 interpretations of the Fendi Peekaboo bag by Adele and Zaha Hadid.

Zaha Hadid’s design for the Fendi Peekaboo is a mille-feuille in soft black leather, with the buckle, zipper and handle of the original. In place of the traditional single pocket, Hadid reconfigured the classic Peekaboo bag into a layered composition with many sleeves: an artist’s portfolio with treasures in every fold.

The clarity of Hadid’s design conveys Fendi’s rich heritage of the finest materials and craftsmanship.
