A unique environment showcasing a selection of key pieces from our current design repertoire that continue to defy the traditional use of space. The elegantly fluid design of the Vortexx Chandelier and Z-Scape furniture and silverware provide an introduction to the formal language of seamless morphology explored by our practice.

For the first time since its launch, Sawaya & Moroni unveiled a new and highly anticipated version of the Z-Scape furniture in a bronze palette. New paintings produced for Kenny Schachter in silver and black complemented this stunning interior environment.

Z-Scape for Sawaya & Moroni is a compact ensemble of lounging furniture whose formal concept is derived from a natural glacial landscape, an effect achieved through the erosive sculpting of the form. Conceived as an elegant sculptural mass, the bowl – also for Sawaya & Moroni – has a slightly concave centre that responds to the diffusion of energies generated at its perimeter, setting up an interesting surface for the reflection of light.

The Vortexx Chandelier created for Zumtobel, inspired by the vision of an infinite ribbon of light, creates the perfect symbiosis of organic lines and dynamic light colour modulation. The curved lines of its form serve to conjure up a double helix that appears to flow in perpetual motion – weightless, vivid and brilliant. Both black and white versions were shown.

These exquisite and sensual works have all been created using the most advanced 3D modelling techniques, combined with digital production processes and the use of innovative materials.
