Arian Hakimi Nejad Lead Designer M-Arch, IaaC-UPC

Profile                                                                                               Arian is an architectural designer and educator based in London. He joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2013 and has been involved on a variety of project typologies ranging from residential, mixed-used buildings to transportation infrastructure and masterplan development. He has been involved in several projects including Unicorn Island in Chengdu and KAFD, an-award winning Metro Station in King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh. He has contributed in implementing advanced parametric design and automation in architectural workflow & complex geometry rationalization.

Education & training                                                                       Arian gained his B.Arch from University of Tehran in 2010 and subsequently studied as a postgraduate at IaaC-UPC focusing on Urban Design & computational-morphogenesis design methodology.

He has been lecturing on the field of computational design and bottom-up design systems and conducting over 17 international workshops collaborating with architects, fashion designers and engineers, including the intern program at ZHA which resulted in the exhibition at ‘The Extraordinary Process’ at gallery Maison Mais Non in London.
