Arya Safavi Associate AADipl, BArch(Hons), ARB
Arya joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2014 having concluded 4 years of practice at Amanda Levete Architects. He has led the design, development and delivery of large and diverse range of mixed-use projects across all stages in Australia, South America, and Asia. He has worked across typologies and scale with a focus on complex geometry, computation, and advanced digital techniques of rationalization and fabrication.
Arya is currently the project associate leading a large mixed-use development of 11 towers in Asia. In parallel, He is overseeing the design on a large mixed-use development in Japan. He was the project architect for Alai Riviera Complex in Mexico (7 residential towers and a large multi-use podium). He was notably in charge of design development, rationalization, and coordination of complex façade and exoskeleton geometries for Grace on Coronation in Brisbane, Australia.
At ZHA, he has also led the design and delivery of a number of major international hospitality, residential and transportation competitions.
He is an ARB registered architect and an invited critic for architecture programmes at the Architectural Association, the University of Westminster and University of Brighton.
Arya has an AA Diploma in Architecture with distinction from the Architectural Association and an honours bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Westminster.
