Ashwin Shah Senior Associate B.Arch, M.Arch, COA
Profile
Ashwin joined the office in 2012 and has worked on a wide variety of competitions in Asia, Europe and North Africa including airports, towers, performing arts centres, museums, residential and mixed-use developments. He started as a member of the Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Research Group (ZHA CODE), and he now focuses on end to end delivery of projects with a keen interest in developing business in India.
Ashwin has also been heavily involved in developing large scale projects through various stages, notably Jumeirah Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, a hotel in China and a lighthouse in Dubai. He recently led the Navi Mumbai International Airport after ZHA won the project in an invited competition. Currently, Ashwin is the Project Architect for the Unicorn Island masterplan, a 1 million sq.m. masterplan development that includes office, commercial and residential buildings in Chengdu, China.
Education
Ashwin received his B.Arch with distinction from The National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India in 2010 and his M.Arch from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 2012. Since graduating he has worked as a Tutor at the Architecture Association and been part of numerous visiting schools in India.
