Bianca Cheung Senior Associate B Arch(HKU), Diploma in Architecture (UCL), ARB

Profile
Bianca joined ZHA in 2008, having previously worked on projects throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East while based in Hong Kong and London. Now a key Senior Associate in the Zaha Hadid Architects team based in Hong Kong, she supports Associate Director Simon Yu closely with day-to-day management of the Hong Kong office.

Education and teaching
Bianca received her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Hong Kong and her Diploma in Architecture from The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. She has been registered as an architect in the UK since 2006.

Projects Experience Overview
While in Zaha Hadid Architects’ London studio, Bianca worked on D’Leedon, a residential project with seven towers and 12 semi-detached villas in Singapore, from schematic to detail design. She was also involved in the winning design of a master planning competition for Cairo Expo City’s Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Upon relocating to Beijing, she has worked extensively on a mixed used project, Wangjing Soho, from concept design to detail design. This project consists of three 150 to 200m tall office towers integrated with retail spaces and landscaping, and it is around 510,000m². In 2011, Bianca relocated to Hong Kong to work as a Lead Architect on Jockey Club Innovation Tower at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University starting from detail design to construction documentation to completion of the project.

Bianca recently worked on the finalisation of Morpheus Hotel in Macau. Completed in late 2018, the tower houses 780 guestrooms, suites and sky villas. She has been involved in the project since the schematic design stage and is responsible for façade and interior packages design development, and coordination between client, consultant and contractors.

She is currently leading a 1550 bed student housing residence and a mixed-used project with approximately 294,000 m² office and retail space in Hong Kong.
