Carolina López-Blanco Associate BArch, MArch, ARB, RIBA, CPNAA
Carolina joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2011 as part of the team developing the competition for the Beijing New Airport Terminal. She has over 17 year of experience working on a variety of project types ranging from residential, hotel and mixed used buildings, to airports and masterplan developments.
Prior to ZHA Carolina worked for KPF, Will Alsop at RMJM in London and practices in Colombia where she gained a broad experience from design to construction phases.
Carolina has an expertise in masterplanning, landscape and urban design. At present she is the Project Architect for Mercury Tower, Malta, currently under construction and due to be completed by the end of 2019.
Carolina obtained her Bachelor of Architecture in 2000 from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia.
In 2006, she was awarded a Masters in Architecture from the Architectural Association in London after completing a MA in Landscape Urbanism. In 2013, she completed a Diploma in Professional Practice and Management in Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London, as part of the ARB Part 3 qualification process.
Carolina is a ARB/RIBA registered architect in the UK and Colombia.
