Profile
Cherry joined Zaha Hadid Architects’ London office in 2020, following her extensive experience working with architectural practices in Hong Kong and London on projects – from design concept to completion – including large-scale mixed-use developments, multi-storey office and residential towers based in both cities.
Projects
Since joining the practice, Cherry has worked on a wide range of projects, including master-planning, large-scale mixed-use, and residential projects across Europe and Asia. One of the most notable projects she has worked on is a major mixed-use 21-tower development comprising of a hotel, offices, retail and residential spaces in ’The Seamless City’, Hangzhou, China. Due to her knowledge and expertise on complex façades and detailing, her key focus was on the delivery of façade detail packages.
Alongside this project she has also contributed to a range of other schemes, including several competitions for offices and master-planning in Italy and the Middle East. She is a regular contributor on the design and development of projects through her detailed design processes and ability to find collaborative and creative solutions.
Most recently, she has been working as Lead Architect on a highly confidential residential project in Kuwait for a private client.
Education
Cherry received her Master’s degree in architectural studies at the University of Hong Kong after having completed her Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies at Oxford Brookes University, UK. During her MA studies, she also studied at the IUAV in Venice, Italy. She is a registered Architect in Hong Kong.
