Marie-Perrine Placais Associate

Profile                                                                                             Marie-Perrine joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2008 and has since worked on a broad range of commissions and competitions, including masterplan and urban design projects, various cultural projects and office developments.

With experience working internationally on a variety of architecture and urban design projects for both public and private clients, Marie-Perrine was part of the project team of the competition-winning Kartal Masterplan on the east bank of Istanbul and worked on the Pierresvives in Montpellier.

Currently, Marie-Perrine is working on the Grand Theatre de Rabat in Morocco and as a lead architect for the Vauxhall Cross Island in central London.

Education                                                                                                Marie-Perrine studied and completed her professional degree at Ecole d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais in Paris before continuing with her Post Graduate Studies in Urban Planning at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po Urba), where she received her master’s degree in Urbanism.

Her teaching experience includes workshops, design juries and lectures in France (Europan 6, Grand Projet de Ville de Rouen), China (Shanghai Tongji University) and Brazil (Architecture sans Frontières). She is currently co-directing the Lyon Visiting School in France for the Architectural Association.
