Mark joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2016, after working at architectural firms in the UK since 2007, lending his skills to national football and rugby stadia, higher education institutes and conservation projects. At Zaha Hadid Architects he has worked on a wide variety of new-build projects in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Russia and north Africa including governmental, office, residential and mixed-use developments.
Mark is a fully qualified ARB Architect implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes as a primary development strategy for large scale projects throughout all design and construction stages. These projects include commercial developments in Dubai, government headquarters in Africa, metro stations in Ukraine, Mercury Tower in Malta and a large-scale office development in China.
Education and Lecturing
Mark fully qualified as an Architect from Queens University, Belfast in 2014 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Masters of Architecture (M.Arch) and Professional Practice in Architecture (PGCert ARB, RIBA). His thesis designs in architecture were selected for the RIBA Presidents Medal 2012 and exhibited across UK and Ireland.
Mark has been highly involved in BIM technologies since 2010 and has lectured internationally on the strategic implementation of BIM processes and protocols within architectural practices. Mark frequently represents the ZHA BIM group while headlining at notable conferences such as BIM for Top Management Moscow, BIM Show Live UK as well as various universities across Ireland, the UK and Asia.
