Profile
Thomas joined us in 2007 and has since worked primarily on the redesign of Eleftheria Square in Nicosia, Cyprus, The Opus and DMC Tower in Dubai and the Beko mixed-use masterplan in Belgrade, Serbia. He has also been involved in competitions for a new science museum in Miami, an urban masterplan in Sofia, Bulgaria and a performing arts centre in Casablanca as well as commissions to design a private foundation in Tunis and the port tangier masterplan in morocco.
Education
Thomas studied architecture in Aachen and Vienna, graduating in 2006 with a Diplom-Ingenieur.
Publications
His work has been widely published internationally. It was included in a 3SAT television documentary on ‘Space Architecture’ (2006); he submitted a technical paper for the ICES conference, ‘Transformation: Spaceship to Mars’ (2006); his work features in ‘Hausleeren 2’ and ‘Forum Planen’ (2005); and it is presented in ‘Showreiff’, a catalogue of an exhibition of the RWTH-Aachen at the Museum of German Architecture in Frankfurt (2001).
