Bidisha Sinha Senior Associate Dipl Arch, M Arch, COA(India)
Bidisha was born in Damascus and raised in Delhi. She joined ZHA in the summer of 2005, and has more than a decade of experience delivering international architectural projects across all stages from design concept through to completion. Bidisha also has extesive experience liaising with public authorities and project stakeholders on high-profile projects around the world.
Education & Teaching
Bidisha received her Dip. Arch from the School of Habitat Studies in Delhi in 2000, and her Masters in Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory of the Architectural Association in London in 2005. She has been a visiting critic in architecture schools in both India and the UK.
Prior to joining ZHA, Bidisha collaborated with several practices in India. She was involved in the design and delivery of a number of large scale projects, including the regeneration of a premier boarding school’s campus in Mussorie, and a Medical Plant in Manesar, Haryana.
Bidisha’s first projects at ZHA were mixed-use regeneration masterplans in Switzerland and France. She subsequently joined the Evelyn Grace Academy’s project team during the concept design stage, remaining a key member of the team throughout the design and delivery of the project and its handover to the client in 2010. The project won the 2011 RIBA Stirling Prize.
Bidisha has also worked on the development of the practice’s brand identity and website in 2010-2012, and is currently Project Architect for two projects in London – a bespoke private residence and the new Mathematics Gallery at the Science Museum.
