Eider Fernandez Eibar Senior Associate B.Arch, M.Arch
Eider joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2013 and became an Associate in 2017. She has over 17 years of experience working on a variety of project typologies ranging from residential, educational, mixed use, transport infrastructures and master planning. Prior to ZHA, she worked for Santiago Calatrava in Spain and in the US, where she gained a broad experience in large scale projects, complex geometries and customized construction solutions that respect the design intention.
During her first years at Zaha Hadid Architects, she worked on the mixed-use development in Dubai, Opus Tower, developing the interior design of the boutique hotel and serviced apartments. In 2016 she led the team that won the competition for the office complex of the Sberbank Technopark, Moscow, and continued working on all design stages of the project. Her experience in Russia expanded after successfully participating in the competitions for the creation of a tourist and recreational hub in the Admiral Serebryakov embankment in Novorossiysk; and the design of a smart city for the territory of Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye, in the outskirts of Moscow. Over the last 4 years, she has worked in the Middle East region, developing masterplans and some of their buildings.
Eider received her degree from ETSAV, Superior Technical School of Architecture in Valencia, Spain in 2004.
She is a registered architect in the UK (ARB) and Spain (COACV).
