Profile Since joining Zaha Hadid Architects in 2002, Filippo has played a key role in a number of ZHA’s major transportation, infrastructure and cultural projects including the Salerno Maritime Terminal in Italy, the Guangzhou Opera House in China, the King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station in Riyadh, the Napoli-Afragola High Speed Train Station in Italy and the Port of Tallin Masterplan in Estonia.
With expertise that spans across multiple fields including Transit Oriented Development, Filippo is currently co-project director for new Navi Mumbai International Airport.
Prior to joining ZHA, Filippo co-founded the research group Spin+ and was a member of the design team for the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. His architectural background encompasses transportation, infrastructure, cultural facilities, conservation and sustainability.
Education & Teaching Filippo received his degree in architecture from the University of Florence (UniFl), and a master of architecture from the Architectural Association’s Design Research Laboratory (AA DRL) in London in 2002, majoring specifically in design research.
Filippo has also been teaching Architectural Design at the University of Florence (UniFl) and Construction Technology at the Milan Politecnico for a number of years and his work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and at the London Architectural Association.
