Maria Tsironi Senior Associate Dipl Arch, M.Arch , ARB
Profile Maria joined ZHA in 2010 and has since led the design in a variety of projects, such as the recently won competitions of Unicorn Island Masterplan in Chengdu and CECEP Campus in Shanghai. She previously worked as lead designer on the 2 Murray Road tower in Hong Kong and the Mandarin Oriental in Melbourne and delivered product design for TECNO, Lalique Crystal and Loa & Vesu Vases for Wiener Silber Manufactur. She also was part of the design team for several of the practice built work including Changsha Meixihu International Cultural Centre, Sky SOHO Shanghai and Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre.
Maria is a computational designer, utilizing cutting edge modelling and scripting techniques to deliver unique design solutions.
Education Maria received her Master in Architecture and Urbanism with Distinction at the Architectural Association (March, AA DRL) in London. Previously, she obtained her Diploma in Architecture and Engineering (MA) from Vienna University of Technology (TUWien) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTh) with 1st Honours (summa cum laude). Her academic work has been published and displayed in the Benaki museum of Athens as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki.
