A gracious volume set alongside the Nile – a striking addition to the city skyline – this elegant 70-storey structure seems to rotate, to lean across the water on its west side – this sense of movement further enhanced by strong diagonals and the continuous glass plaza at its foot.

The new Nile Tower makes a striking addition to Cairo, constituting a gracious, elegant volume bordering both the Nile River and city centre.

Distinctive concrete fin walls form the main structural elements of this 70-storey hotel and apartment tower, their gradual rotation generating unique orientations and vistas for individual rooms and apartments – each fin reflected on the external façade, adding great dynamism to the whole.

The same dizzying geometry seemingly places the tower ‘in motion’ when viewed from the draped, glass plaza at its base – within which all common program elements are contained.

Exaggerated diagonals across north and south faces further develop the rotational effect. From the west, overlooking the river, the tower bulges – seems to lean closer to the water. To the east it moves outwards as a triangle at lower levels, providing inherent stability in this new Cairo landmark.
