Profile Carlos joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2019 as Sustainability Team Lead following four years as Environmental Design Analyst at Foster + Partners within their Specialist Modelling Group.
Specialising in parametric design and digital fabrication, ZHA’s sustainability team operates to inform design decisions throughout the Concept Design and Schematic Design stages of each project; developing in-house resources and coordinating externally with consultants to ensure all projects are delivered with the same degree of sustainability analysis.
Carlos contribution has helped shape and define the studios sustainability policies, providing design teams with environmental simulation tools linked to geometry modelling to optimize architectural elements based on climate analysis to achieve energy efficient solutions leading to buildings with lower carbon footprints.
Education & Teaching A Qualified Level 4 UK Energy Assessor, Carlos received his Bachelor with Honours at the University of Alicante and his Master in Advanced Architecture at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona where has also taught as Assisting Professor.
