Profile
Ludovico is responsible for ZHA’s growing project work throughout the Nordic region, Scandinavia and Baltic regions and he acts as the main point of contact between the practice and local clients and consultants.
Ludovico joined ZHA in 2008, after having studied at the AA Architectural Association in London for his M.Arch. He has held key roles in a variety of projects and commissioned competition designs throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, focusing on the design aspect from its conception to completion.
He has detailed experience with international design team management and major project delivery, ranging from master planning, rail and infrastructure projects, as well as heritage integration.
Ludovico recently led ZHA’s competition winning project for the Vilnius central station redevelopment, which includes the regeneration of the heritage existing station and the integration to a new rail terminal and new public space; as well as the Ülemiste Terminal, which will form part of the wider Rail Baltic connection that will eventually link Estonia to Poland. Ludovico’s portfolio of work additionally includes the urban regeneration masterplan of the Old Port area in Tallinn and the redevelopment of the Väsby Entré station in Sweden.
Prior to ZHA, he worked for Carlos Ferrater and Arata Isozaki.
Education
Ludovico has a master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the DRL Design Lab, Architectural Association, London, and previously studied at the Politecnico Milan and the Bartlett, University College London.
Teaching
Ludovico has taught in various institutions in London, Europe and the US. Ludovico has been a guest critic at the Architectural Association and for the DRL, lecturer at the Marangoni School in London and Bologna and Florence University in Italy and taught as a Unit Master tutor at the Bartlett school of Architecture for M.Arch in urban design. Ludovico is currently teaching at the RISD – Rhode Island School of Design.
