Carlos Bausa Martinez on Water, Wellness & Design

This Thursday Zaha Hadid Architects’ Sustainability Team Lead Carlos Bausa Martinez will join a panel discussion on ‘Water, Wellness & Design’ organised by Dezeen and Kohler.

Moderated by Dezeen's editor-at-large Amy Frearson, the talk will explore the relationship between water and wellbeing; how architects incorporate water into their designs and what measures are taken to improve sustainability. Carlos will be joined by Kohler's Director of Innovation for Good and Sustainability Ratish Namboothiry and The Banyan Tree's Executive Director of Wellbeing Woon Hoe Lee.

Water is a source of inspiration to create dynamic spaces and geometries, its presence enhancing the architectural experience. At Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), the conservation and creative reuse of water are central within our work, integrating design innovation with sustainable solutions that preserve, harvest, and recycle water to avoid waste.

ZHA’s workflow considers the full spectrum of sustainability strategies as one of the primary drivers of geometry, allowing for robust proposals that incorporate advanced environmental solutions.
