LUX Award 2015 to the Investcorp Building, Oxford University’s Middle East Centre, St Antony’s College

Now in its fifth year, the Lux Awards recognise designs making the most effective use of low-energy lighting. Arup Lighting’s design for the Investcorp building complements the architecture, maintaining the detached character of the college’s current buildings, allowing them to be read as separate, yet connecting, elements that define spaces for the centre’s renowned archive, library and seminar programmes in a building that conveys the past, present and future evolution of the college, university and city.

Earlier this month, the Oxford Preservation Trust gave the Investcorp Building their 2015 Award and Plaque; acknowledging the vital role that positive design plays in Oxford and how improvements to the physical environment can positively shape the city.
