Malea Coffee Table and Volta Bench for Citco

In recent years the association between Citco and Zaha Hadid Design has given rise to extraordinary projects, the result of a profound fusion of creative and expressive intent, taking inspiration from the world of nature and Citco's expertise in advanced technologies.

Citco continues its collaboration with Zaha Hadid Design once again this year, presenting two new pieces at Salone del Mobile: the Volta Bench and Malea Coffee Table.

Volta Bench
Echoing Hadid’s calligraphic language, the Volta Bench is defined by a single dynamic gesture. The intertwined loop is articulated with fluid lines immaculately carved from granite, combining Zaha Hadid Design’s seamless design language with Citco’s exquisite craftsmanship.

Malea Coffee Table
Mirroring the logic and coherence of nature, the Malea Coffee Table design references the spiralling motif of seashells.

Combining two interlocking elements carved from onyx, Malea represents the evolution of Zaha Hadid Design’s interest in exploring materiality and contrasts. The transparent acrylic amplifies depth and complexity through a flawless display of refractions within the solidity of carved onyx
