One Thousand Museum, Miami wins Engineering News-Record (ENR) ‘Best of the Best’

One Thousand Museum residential tower in Miami has won the Engineering News-Record (ENR) ‘Best of the Best’ Project Award in the Residential & Hospitality category.

ENR’s annual Best of the Best Projects Awards honour the project teams behind outstanding design and construction efforts of the past two years, focussing on the challenges, risks and rewards of designing and constructing internationally. The judges reviewed safety performance, innovations, challenges, and design and construction quality - with a special emphasis on the diversity of global project teams and their collaboration.

Collaborating with DeSimone Consulting Engineers, Plaza Construction and ODP Architects, ZHA designed One Thousand Museum’s 62-storey (216m/709ft) tower to incorporate an external structure that brings a continuity between its engineering and architecture, defining generous living areas uninterrupted by internal columns with fantastic views over Biscayne Bay.
