Zaha Hadid Design joins BowWow Haus London exhibition

Zaha Hadid Design has created the ‘Cloud’ kennel for  BowWow Haus London, the public exhibition in aid of Blue Cross for Pets, a UK charity that re-homes and cares for more than 40,000 sick, injured and homeless pets each year.

The exhibition features unique dog kennels designed and built by architects and artists from around the world and is a collaboration with national pet charity Blue Cross for Pets, as well as the US-based Outdoor Arts Foundation who support community-based creative engagement.

‘Cloud’ is a cocoon-like kennel elevated slightly above ground to protect dogs from cold floor surfaces, constructed in sustainably sourced plywood that is CNC milled using digital design and fabrication.

The kennels are exhibited around Central London and will remain on display through April 26th when they'll be auctioned off at a gala event at the Renaissance St. Pancras Hotel, raising money for the care of the many thousands of animals Blue Cross helps annually.

Online bidding can now be made via The Saleroom. On-line bids will merge with the live auction on the 26th of April

Maha Kutay, director of Zaha Hadid Design said: "Designed for the BowWow Haus exhibition, ‘Cloud’ continues our long-standing commitment to support those doing great work  in our community."

Jay Goulde, Executive Director of the Outdoor Arts Foundation and founder of BowWow Haus London said: "It's been 15 years since the first BowWow Haus in America and its magical to have architects and artists from all over the world coming together to exhibit their extraordinary pieces."
